Reading of water-meters

Arrangements for the reading of water-meters

Our colleagues read the water-meters of permanent private consumers every six months; in the case of seasonal private consumers, the meters are read once year, following the summer period, in July or August. Our seasonal consumers can read the meters themselves and ask for the bill of the amount consumed after the summer season. Seasonal users can submit their reading of water consumption at the end of the season - after DRV's reading in July/August - every year till 15th October. To assist our consumers, we also send a pre-printed postcard that needs to be returned to our Corporation after filling in. Seasonal users can submit their final reading every year till 15th December in order that the bills can be prepared based on the prices of the relevant year.

The reading of water-meters of public consumers is carried out monthly.

If the stand of the water-meter is not reported to us, we will calculate the bill according to an estimation based on the average consumption. It is of common interest to Transdanubian Regional Waterworks Corporation and our consumers that the bill is calculated based on the real consumption. Therefore, we ask you to enable our colleagues to read the meters, or if you are not available in the reading period, please read the meter and give the stand to our Customer Service until the deadline indicated on our message card.  In order to identify the consumer, the business partner identification number needs to be given, which can be found on the bill.

You can also give the stand of the water-meter electronically via our website, by filling in and mailing the form called “Reporting the stand of water-meters”.

You can also let us know the stand of the water-meter by phoning our customer service.

We do not recommend sending the data by post, because in the current bill, we cannot take into account the information received after the deadline indicated on our message card.
